Testimonials

"By and far one of the best races in the region! I highly recommend this event to anyone ready for a truly challenging 50km."
- Nickademus Hollon (2016 50k winner)

"A wonderful  event with all the attributes that make an event successful: fantastic and enthusiastic volunteers, great aid stations, a well marked course, a fun and festive finish line with great food and cerveza, and a very challenging course that brings out the best in everyone. All this for an entry fee that is the best value of any ultra I've ever been to."
- Scott Mills (San Diego 100 Race Director and 2016 Western States Greg Soderlund Silver Legend Entry)

"The views of the Baja 50km were stunning and the aid stations and organization, the best. I highly recommend it!"
-Noé Castañón (Mexico-american ultrarunner)

"Its definitely the best ultra I’ve ever done. Three reasons - 1) The course is truly outstanding. I’ll never forget the joy of going off-trail running down that ridge-line with miles of incredible views on either side, the animal trail that took us through the bushes (how did you even find this?), and then the INCREDIBLE view at the top of the mountain where you could see from Rosarito to San Diego. I would never have known this kind of mountain beauty was in TJ, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. 2) Course marking was amazing. There was no possible way to get lost, I can’t even imagine the hours you all took putting it together. Not to mention how many private ranches we crossed that you had to get permissions for 3) The volunteers were world-class. I don’t know how many you had but felt like there was 1 volunteer for ever 1 participant. Really fantastic support and hospitality. Once again proves that Mexico = great people."
 -Tood Precce (San Diego Ultrarunner)

"The Ultramaraton Baja Trail 50K was an awesome race! It was a first class event. The course was beautiful and designed very well. The course was marked very well! The aid stations were terrific and the volunteers were excellent. There were safety volunteers in between the aid stations taking our bib numbers and making sure we were OK and staying on the course. The community was great."
- Jeff Coon (San Diego Ultrarunner)

"This is arguably toughest 50K in the region with 8000 ft up and down, super technical and insanely beautiful, and both of them finished strong! Thanks Baja Trail Runners team for putting up this awesome race! All the volunteers were so helpful and nice!"
- Edward Wang (San Diego Ultrarunner)
